Live from Vancouver: “The Importance of Early Intervention and How to Reduce Stigma”

Second in a series of onstage conversations on matters vital to today’s thought leaders, opinion makers, and policy creators

On April 28, 2011, at the Vancouver Art Gallery, The Walrus Foundation partnered with RBC to present the second in a series of onstage conversations about child and youth mental health.

This event featured a lively conversation between Dr. Bonnie Leadbeater (professor of psychology at the University of Victoria and director of the WITS Program for the prevention of peer victimization), and Keli Anderson (executive director of The FORCE Society for Kid’s Mental Health). Our moderator was veteran journalist and broadcaster and mental health activist, Shelagh Rogers.

We were delighted to be able to bring this important conversation to the mental health community and to Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. RBC and The Walrus Foundation will continue to program their Conversation Series throughout 2011 and 2012.
